Gazelle (given the title Royal Dutch Gazelle by Princess Margriet in 1992) is the renowned leader in Dutch bike manufacturing since 1892. Their factory in Dieren produces over 250,000 bikes a year. The Gazelle Medeo T9 is one of the most economically priced eBikes possessing a fully integrated Bosch eSystem and a full array of utilitarian features. It comes with everything you’d expect on a typical Dutch bike: full-coverage fenders, bolted on front and rear LED lights, durable Schwalbe Big Apple city-specific tires, a kickstand, a rear rack for panniers, an Axa rear wheel lock, and a bell. Shifting is handled by a Shimano Acera 9 speed shifter and derailleur. Stopping the Medeo T9, even at full-speed, is a breeze with front and rear Shimano dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes.

The Medeo T9 is a Class 1 eBike, meaning its motor provides assistance only while the rider is pedaling, and will stop providing assistance once the bike’s speed reaches 20 mph. The sensation of the pedal assist is smooth, not jarring or jerky. Bosch's convenient and easy to read Purion display is mounted to the left side of the handlebars and informs the rider on details such as current speed, trip distance, and remaining battery life. From this display the rider can easily toggle the motor between the various assist modes: Eco, Tour, Sport, and Turbo. The Medeo T9's battery, drive unit, and display (in essence the entire eSystem) are all made by Bosch and undergo rigorous third party testing for quality.

The range of the Bosch 400Wh battery depends on which level of assistance the rider has selected. Ride the bike without the motor turned on and it will perform just like a normal bike.
