In The City of Bikes - Pete Jordan

Availability: In stock

This is hands down the most entertaining and informative book about why the Dutch, and in particular Amsterdammers, gravitate towards the bike for transport. It's written from the perspective of an American, Pete Jordan, who has called Amsterdam home since 2002. Pete is quite a character who once set out to gain employment as a dishwasher in all 50 states; you can read about that in his hilarious book Dishwasher. For more about Pete, check out our blog post from my visit with him on a recent trip to Amsterdam. If you are a fan of Dutch bikes, Dutch biking culture, or you're curious to explore its origins, this is the book for you.
