Designed by Riese & Müller from Germany and produced by Pacific Cycles in Taiwan, the Birdy is a high-performance, full-suspension folding bike that prioritizes ride quality, handling, and comfort above all else. Markus Riese created the first Birdy back in 1992 by welding two old bikes together in his parents' garage. A year later, Riese and Heiko Müller built the first aluminum Birdy prototype and won the Hessian Innovation Prize. The first of its kind as a full suspension folding bike, the Birdy hit the market in 1995 and has been in a class of it's own ever since.
