Riese & Müller's Homage shares some design elements with their popular Nevo model, namely, the low step-through frame for easy mounting and dismounting, suspension fork with 100mm of travel to cushion the ride, and the sturdy rear cargo rack. The Homage takes the emphasis on comfort even further, however, with a SR Suntour Edge rear shock, giving the entire rear triangle its own independent suspension with 100mm of travel. For those in need of auxiliary cargo space, a frame-fixed front rack with an 11lb (5Kg) capacity is an optional accessory. A durable, waterproof 18L bag is another accessory available to those opting for the front rack. The bag is easily removed and has a convenient shoulder strap for carrying off the bike. The last feature that differentiates the Homage from the Nevo and other competitors is its Satori Trident dropper style seatpost. This allows the seatpost height to be raised and lowered with a flip of a switch--a benefit for any bike shared between two individuals of different heights, or as an aid for mounting and dismounting the bike.

The double-walled and eyeletted alloy rims give the bike a stout foundation, especially when paired with the durable Schwalbe Johnny Watts or Super Moto-X tires. The wheels have Magura hydraulic disc brakes installed for optimum stopping power, even in slippery conditions with heavy loads. Riese & Müller has outfitted the Homage with a Gates CDX Carbon Belt Drive for the quietest and lowest-maintenance drivetrain available. An Enviolo N380 Continuously Variable Transmission gear hub is the perfect gearing choice to supplement the Gates Belt Drive, but it's also possible to upgrade to the Rohloff 14-speed internal gear hub.

Bosch provides the motor, display, and battery--the entire e-system--for the Homage. It comes with Bosch’s Generation 4 Performance Line CX motor (Class 1, 85Nm of torque, up to 340% pedal assistance) or Bosch's Generation 4 Performance Line Speed motor (Class 3, 85Nm of torque, up to 340% pedal assistance). Riese & Müller has several variants of the Homage, some of which are Class 1 eBikes and some of which are Class 3 eBikes. A Class 1 eBike's motor provides assistance only while the rider is pedaling, and will stop providing assistance once the bike’s speed reaches 20 mph. A Class 3 bike will do the same, but with a top assisted speed of 28 mph.

Augmenting the Homage's comfort and convenience, Bosch's DualBattery technology allows the bike to have exceptional range for a city eBike. A Homage buyer is presented with two battery choices: a single 625Wh Bosch Powertube which integrates seamlessly into the bike's frame, or the DualBattery option of two frame-integrated 625Wh Powertubes, for 1250Wh total. For this Homage, we configured the bike for you! The color is Pearl White, and it is a 49cm frame size. It's equipped with the Bosch Performance Line Speed motor, 625Wh battery, and Nyon display. As a Class 3 eBike, its top assisted speed is 28 mph. The drivetrain is a low maintenance Enviolo internal gear hub and a Gates belt drive. The bike is built with the comfort kit, which are handlebars that sweep back toward the rider to create a more comfortable, upright riding position. The dropper style seatpost makes it easy to raise and lower the saddle with a flip of a switch. This makes it simple to share the bike with riders of different height, to mount and dismount the bike, and to put your foot down at a stop to help stabilize the bike. Upgraded with a frame fixed front rack and bag, it's easy to carry your belongings on the bike and see they're secure the entire ride.
