Gazelle (given the title Royal Dutch Gazelle by Princess Margriet in 1992) is the renowned leader in Dutch bike manufacturing since 1892. Their factory in Dieren produces over 250,000 bikes a year. From their conception to the present day, they've focused on making comfortable, safe, and stylish bikes that can be depended on daily. The Gazelle Ultimate C380+ is an all-rounder eBike striking the right balance between a practical transportation bike for daily commuting and a fun recreation bike for long joy rides. It's an excellent daily commuter because the riding posture is mostly upright, increasing comfort and visibility, and it's a step through frame, allowing the rider to gracefully mount and dismount the bike in either casual or work attire. It's also equipped with fenders for rainy days and lights that are powered by the bike's battery, which is seamlessly integrated into the bike's down tube. Yet the Ultimate is also a great bike for long recreational rides since the mostly upright riding posture has a sporty lean to it, increasing pedaling efficiency for extended miles and time in the saddle. For increased versatility, the handlebar position is easily adjustable, which allows you to customize the bike's fit to be comfortable for whatever kind of riding you're doing. 

The C380+ features the Enviolo 380 Continuously Variable Transmission gear hub. This innovative hub allows for fully stepless transmission—an infinite number of gears. The whisper-quiet and grease-free Gates CDX carbon belt doesn't require any lubrication and lasts 3-5 times longer than a chain.

The bike's battery, drive unit, display, and charger (in essence the entire eSystem) are all made by Bosch and undergo rigorous third party testing for quality. The Ultimate C380+ a class 3 e-bike, which means that it offers pedal assist up to 28 MPH. These electric components run Bosch’s new Smart System. Using the eBike Flow app, the rider can control all the functions of the Smart System and customize the bike to the rider's preferences. The Smart System keeps the bike up-to-date with the latest software updates, includes the new “auto” assist mode that automatically changes the level of torque while riding. For theft prevention, it is capable of electronically locking the bike and, with an additional subscription service, tracking the bike.

The eSystem is easy to control with the Bosch Purion 200 display, which informs the rider on details such as assist mode (Eco, Tour, Sport, Turbo, and Auto), current speed, trip distance, and remaining battery life. The battery has a capacity of 540 Wh to power the Bosch Performance Line Sport motor, which delivers 85 Nm of torque.  

For comfort, the tires have been updated from 2.00 inches wide to 2.15, while 80mm of front suspension make the ride smooth and forgiving even on bumpy streets. And for safety, powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes offer plenty of stopping power in all kinds of conditions and terrain.
